THIS SUMMER I WENT SWIMMING

The following photos were shot in the summer of 2024 in Austin, Texas.

I made it a point to visit, experience, and photograph every public pool within the city limits (minus a few exceptions due to construction and plus a few bonus pools outside of town).

Austin has 34 public pools that are accessible to anyone looking to cool off in the Texas heat. The city is known for Barton Springs and Deep Eddy Pool, but when you venture outside of the highly trafficked and obvious, you’ll find plenty of other pools that uniquely reflect the communities across Austin.

I’m thankful for these spaces that allow us to reflect, learn, and grow as individuals and a community. These photos are a love letter to the heartbeat of Austin.
